# Starting With Admin Panel

Hostfurl is currently writing its own admin panel for customers, to be called ‘Hostfurl Panel’

Its main features will include:

1. Logon through a passkey or password.

2. A common and useful subset of functionality

3. A small amount of useful additional functionality.

The functionality will include simpler aspects of hosting, user email, DNS, billing, CMS.

Without this, customers would be required to navigate to different complex admin sites and pages with unnecessary confusion.

A more restricted and simplified panel will be available for non admin users as the user panel.

Instead of customers communicating with multiple other panels, a single panel will communicate on their behalf with API calls to different systems.

**Information following will be superseded by this simpler approach:**

The full admin panel is accessed from a web browser, always port 10000.
